The government announces the abolition of liberalization, and Pakistanis and Indians will be particularly affected
Riyadh (November 14, 2019) Saudi government reports bad news regarding labor visa. The government has announced the termination of the Libra visa. According to Al ArabiyaNet, the ministry is working on a project, says Naif-ul-Amir, director of the Professional Testing Program at the Ministry of Labor and Social Development in Saudi Arabia. The purpose is to categorize professions into categories and visas and to implement changes in the composition of certain professions and their names.
According to Almir, visas or occupations of male or female “labor” will be removed from their ministry system in the future. This would require editing of professions by companies. According to Aamir, the said test program will be optionally implemented for one year from December next month, after which it will be declared compulsory.
However, the program director says an extension to the optional implementation period may be considered.
Naif-ul-Amir said the vocational testing program would apply to seven countries, as 95% of the labor coming to the state belonged to these seven countries. These countries are India, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Egypt, Bangladesh and Pakistan. He said that the professional test fee in the state will be between 450 to 600 rials and 100 to 150 rials outside the state. After that, the workers of the air-conditioning, auto-electric, mechanic, carpenter, blacksmith, blacksmith and construction sector will be gradually added.
